Luxurious Minimalism

Sushi has helped catapult Japanese cuisine to its top spot on the global food stage, and it’s no secret that a quality plate does not come cheap; but did you know that sushi, dating back to the Edo period, was originally a street food? The complexity of its construction is on par with that of its storied history: it appears as deceptively simple as a slice of fish on a hunk of rice, but nuances such as grain type, vinegar ratio, and the angle of each cut can make or break the form. Learn techniques from the best in the industry, so you’ll be able to recreate authentic sushi back home!
