A Taste of Tradition
Born from the rustling wheat fields of Kagawa Prefecture, Sanuki udon noodles are known for their firm and chewy texture, as well as soft broth bursting with flavor. A representative Kagawa cuisine, Sanuki udon can be found all over the prefecture, at udon shops visited by locals and visitors alike. As technology seeped into the culinary circles and handmade noodles were replaced with machine made, this udon shop remained steadfast and continued their generations long tradiiton of making udon by hand, beginning with resting the dough after mixing and kneading. Step into this homely local establishment and immerse yourself into the traditional udon making methods that this shop has been following for more than 100 years. Under careful instruction of the fourth generation udon shop owner, create your own Sanuki udon noodles and enjoy them with the shop's light yet flavorful broth.
