Even folkloric legends name Yoshino as one of Japan's most culturally essential washi locations, with it even being said that ancient royalty personally passed along washi-crafting techniques to the local villages.
Join a 6th-generation washi artisan who, in addition to actively using traditional washi-making techniques, works with world-renowned museums and organizations both domestically and internationally to repair paintings and national treasures.
