Savoring Sake

Asahikawa has long been noted for its sake brewing industry. Join us on a tour of one of the area’s premier breweries where you will learn of its 120-year history, the local characteristics of sake, the ingredients used, and the process of brewing start to finish. At the conclusion of the tour, you will enjoy a fine dining experience at a nearby restaurant owned by one of the brewery’s clients, a major company with an equally strong presence in Asahikawa. The dinner course will begin with appetizers and a sake tasting led by a brewery representative. Each dish is skillfully prepared with seasonal ingredients unique to Hokkaido, beautifully complementing the sake. As a special treat, you will be served the “Hatsuichi” sake named after the restaurant company’s founder. “Hatsuichi” debuted after a two-year endeavor to create the perfect legacy brew and is exclusively served at this restaurant and a sister hotel. Come savor the experience with us!
