Perfect Pairings

For more than a millennium, sake has stood at the heart of Japanese ritual, celebration, and daily life, offered at shrines, shared at weddings, and poured to mark the turning of the seasons. Brewed from rice, water, and koji, it is revered not simply as a drink but as a culture extending beyond merely the culinary. Similar to wine, sake possesses unique characteristics that unlock its full depth depending on which dishes it's paired with-aromatic daiginjo paired with herby cuisine or full-bodied aged sake with rich, complex menus. In a quiet corner of Roppongi, step into a private tatami room and discover sake as an art form. This intimate tasting introduces five premium expressions crafted by a brewery in Hyogo with more than 350 years of heritage, poured into artisan-made cups designed to suit each sake and paired with seasonal small plates curated by a respected Tokyo chef. As knowledgeable hosts guide you through the philosophy, ingredients, and meticulous brewing methods behind each sake, discover the depth of sake in every sip and every bite.
