Meet the Master
Though native to Osaka, Hiroki was so moved by the natural beauty of the forests surronding Fuji that he was inspired to become a nature guide, spending every day immersed in its vitality. With an emphasis on humor and engaging education, he aspires to share the beauty of Fuji's nature with all who join him.
What you’ll do
Trek through Aokigahara Forest with a nature guide, learning about the forest's unique formation, ecological features, and innate connection to Mt. Fuji. Then, descend a cliff face to the entrance of a volcanic tunnel cave, once used to refrigerate the food of ancient Edo people. Witness glittering icicles preserved in time before returning to nature and seeing where the volcanic forest meets old-growth.
